‘Ted Lasso’ Star Nick Mohammed Set for U.S. Live Performance Debut

Nick Mohammed, the actor known for his role in the acclaimed series ‘Ted Lasso,’ is set to make his first live performance appearance in the United States.

The one-night-only show will take place at New York’s Town Hall on Friday, June 2, where Mohammed will bring his beloved character, “Mr. Swallow,” to American audiences for the very first time.

While ‘Ted Lasso’ has gained him recognition in the U.S., Mohammed’s Mr. Swallow shows have already enjoyed tremendous success in the UK, with sold-out performances in venues across the country, including multiple shows in London’s West End.

According to the announcement from Town Hall, the American audience can expect a night filled with laughter, mind-bending mathematics, magical moments, and even a taste of the iconic musical ‘Les Misérables.’

“I’m incredibly excited to introduce Mr. Swallow to the American audience,” Mohammed expressed in a statement.

“To be honest, the character can be quite a handful, so this one-off show could go in any of three directions – two of which are best left unimagined! But on a serious note, it’s truly an honor to perform at New York’s magnificent Town Hall. I’m simultaneously thrilled and terrified.”

The event is being produced by Kevin McCollum, Lucas McMahon, and Berk’s Nest, in association with TodayTix Presents.

In addition to his role in ‘Ted Lasso,’ Nick Mohammed is also known as the writer and star of the series ‘Intelligence’ on Peacock/Sky, alongside David Schwimmer.

He has also appeared in popular shows like ‘Stath Lets Flats’ (HBOMax/Channel 4), ‘Inside No. 9’ (BBC), and ‘This Time With Alan Partridge’ (BBC). Fans can look forward to seeing him in the upcoming film ‘Maggie Moore(s),’ featuring Tina Fey and Jon Hamm.
